𝟳,𝟯𝟰𝟬𝗸𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗢𝟮𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲?

A three-storey residential building in Auckland has been wrapped in saveBOARD betterBRACE rigid air barrier. 1,100+ m2 of product, 8,603kg of waste saved from landfill, and 7,340kg of CO2e removed from the environment in the production phase alone, before anyone's even moved in.

Kg’s of CO2 is hard to picture, it’s a gas so here’s roughly what 7,340kg CO2e represents:

 • 122 tree seedlings, grown for 10 years

 • Around 3 hectares of forest, absorbing carbon for a full year

 • 30,400km of driving (petrol car)

 • 11 return flights, Auckland to Sydney

One building did in a few weeks what a decade of trees, or a year of forest, would take to achieve.

Building consents now require a carbon report. Embodied carbon caps apply from 2026 and tighten through to 2030. saveBOARD betterBRACE has an independently verified EPD, with a negative Global Warming Potential at A1-A3, meaning it sequesters more carbon than it emits in manufacture.

One project, one building, and the numbers are already significant. Multiply that across a city's worth of construction and that's the actual scale of the opportunity here.
