Recycled Fence Panels
𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿...
You know the shot. Backboard, rim, then a nervous bounce off the concrete straight toward the fence. Between my kids and myself we’ve had more balls end up in the neighbour's garden than I'd like to admit.
So when it came time to replace part of our back fence, right opposite the hoop, I saw an opportunity.
We used saveBOARD 2Faced panels for the fence, which felt like the obvious choice as its pre-finished in Black & White and made for the outdoors. However, this time I went one step further and built in a net, 600mm above the top of the fence line.
Hopefully, no more knocking on the neighbour's door. No more that awkward "sorry, can I grab my ball" conversation.
It's a small DIY project, but it's also a good reminder that the products we make aren't just for other people's builds. I use them on my own place to make sure they are ready for use, learn how to use them and save my missed shots.
