Reduce Construction Material Waste

These are the custom cut lengths one customer ordered for betterBRACE 4Steel over the last 3 months.
Not one of them is a standard sheet size. And that's the point.
They're a modular builder. Time is money in their world, and they worked out early that every offcut costs them three times.
➡️ Once when they buy it.
➡️ Once in labour to cut it down.
➡️ Once more to send it to the skip.
Now they have swapped to saveBOARD I don't think they will ever buy standard sizes again. They send us the lengths they actually need, and we cut to size at the same $/m2 rate.
No cutting on site. No joins. No skip full of material they paid for.
A few weeks ago I used TimTams to explain why 15-30% of building materials never make it onto a building. This is what the alternative looks like in practice. Ten lengths, ten different sizes, zero waste (apart from openings).
The builders who get this don't go back. Once you've priced a job without a waste allowance, standard sizing just looks like another tax on the future home owners.
If you're specifying sheet products, custom sheet lengths is an easy decision. The maths is pretty simple.
